When Tina was just fourteen, she went to America for boarding school, which was a huge change for her. She missed her family, home, and most of all, her favorite Korean dishes.
However, with no Korean restaurant nearby, she had to start cooking her own food. This was a challenge because she had to substitute ingredients that weren’t available in the local supermarket.
Despite the obstacles, Tina kept at it, calling her grandmother for recipes and experimenting in the dorm kitchen. As she cooked more, she gained confidence and even started sharing her food with friends.
Although her cooking may not be the most traditional or authentic, it represents her unique experiences and adaptations. After that,
